{Who} Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy
{Where} St. Mungo's
{When} after this

Harry opened his eyes and groaned. It felt like his skull was split open! He grabbed his head - it was bandaged, he noticed - as he sat up in bed carefully. But - this wasn't his bed. Then everything came rushing back.

A doctor came in a few minutes later. "Mr. Potter, my name is Dr. Merton. I assure you that Mr. Malfoy's situation is being taken care of," he said when he saw him opening his mouth. "We don't understand what has happened with the straps, they weren't supposed to come undone."

Harry raised a hand, effectively silencing the doctor. "What do you mean, being taken care of?" he asked carefully. He was boiling inside, but the pain was dulling all the rest. "He didn't do anything. I sat down next to him on the bed and fell down. Simple as that."

Dr. Merton wasn't convinced that easily. And then explained that Draco was once again drugged and strapped down.

"Listen, Doctor, I don't care what you all think! I know him better than anyone in this Hospital! He's not dangerous!! And I demand to be taken there," Harry exclaimed, and winced.

It took some convincing, but being the Boy-Who-Lived had a few ups.

Half an hour later he was on a wheelchair, at the door to Draco's room. "I want him unstrapped and conscious. I don't care," he repeated again in a singsong voice as the nurse opened her mouth, "what you have to do, but I want it done now."

The nurse pursed her lips, but as she had been instructed to do everything Harry Potter said, complied. She stuck a needle in Malfoy's arm, and undid the straps.

"Good." Harry smiled at her thinly. "You can leave now."

As she got out, closing the door behind her, Harry saw Draco beginning to stir. He rolled the wheelchair closer to the bed and waited.

"But she hates the Death Eaters! What you're telling me doesn't make sense!" Draco argued. "You can't be telling the truth," he stated, though it was clear he was uncertain. "None of this makes sense."

Draco sat and stared at the Golden Boy, deep in thought. What been happening while I've been gone? he silently wondered. "You said you have an invite to the wedding?"

Harry chuckled darkly. "No, not me. Voldemort was, though."

He swallowed as he wobbled again and sat back down. He hoped Draco's silence meant he should stay. "I'm not lying," he said again, not knowing if it made any difference.

Finally noticing the way Harry was sway, Draco asked, "You feeling alright Potter?"

Harry nodded, "I'm fine. The question should be, are you okay?" He was more worried about the impact the informations might be having on Draco than with himself. It would pass. Draco, on the other hand, he was not so sure.

Draco rolled his eyes and fell back onto his pillows, "I'm fine Potter, but they way you can hardly stand and your constant fondling of your scar, says anything but."

He shrugged. "Yes, well, it's nothing. Don't worry about it." He crossed his legs at the ankles. "My head's hurting a bit, and you know how my scar is."

"It doesn't matter." He shook his head dismissively and changed the subject. "Draco, I... I can try to make Pansy come here, if you want," he offered, fiddling with the hem of his shirt.

"What good will I do," he grumbled. "She won't listen to me."

Harry placed his hand over Draco's tentatively. "She's your best friend. You can talk - you haven't seen each other in over a year..." He bit his lip. "And... I'm not sure she's in that by choice," he said slowly.

"Not many people join the Dark Lord by choice Potter," Draco snarked.

"Do you know when the wedding is?"
May. 10th, 2007 11:17 pm (UTC)
He sighed, "No. It was postponed to a 'still undisclosed date', I believe those were Rosier's words."
